To apply you must:
- Be 18 years of age
- Have a valid Social Security Number
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Answer questions about criminal background
- Submit fingerprints through an approved partner agency
*State applications take approximately 30 days to be processed

*Failure to pass the class exam after two attempts requires retaking the entire course

Take and Pass the State Exam
To pass the state exam you must:
- Score a minimum of 75% on the state administered exam within 2 years of course completion or application approval whichever comes first
